Community Arts Day returns to Watford this month

Posted by news desk in Local News, 8th February 2010, 3:46pm

World Community Arts Day will be celebrated in Watford Town Centre again this year, with a series of free workshops on Wednesday 17 February.

Organised by the council, locals are welcome to join in the Chinese themed activities, which kick off in Charter Place at 1pm with Chinese craft workshops.

The arts and crafts continue from 2pm at Watford Central Library (pictured) where there is the opportunity to make your very own lantern. All the materials for the lanterns are being supplied free of charge by WRAP – Watford Recycling Arts Project.

To finish off the day there will be a display of all the lanterns at the pond at the top of town from 5-6pm, accompanied by Chinese dance and music.
