We Love Kings Langley

The Wishing Well on St Albans Road is one of those pubs that, while there’s nothing wrong with it really, you wouldn’t go out of your way to get to it. Sure, it has every major sporting even covered, it’s nice and big and offers a fairly wide range of beers and wines, and the staff are friendly enough, but if the truth be told, it’s fairly bland. Or so I thought.

Last Friday, on strong recommendation, I popped into the pub to try some of the Thai food that’s on offer each Friday night. I’m glad I did.

Don’t be fooled by the tiny kitchen the cooks operate in, or the menu that’s been knocked up on a Spectrum, the food is reasonable, generously served and above all very good quality. 

Plenty of choice on the starters (spring rolls are excellent, spare ribs were a bit fatty) and on the authentic Thai curries that follow.
